Cornish Tipi Wedding
This wasn't a normal wedding for me, or a normal bride! Megan Williams - now Megan Pitts - has been a great friend of mine since we met at college. A time when nights out were a weekly thing. Pre drinks were always at her house, post drinks (is that a thing) were at hers, hangovers were at hers... sorry Tracey aka Megan's mum. As Nick and Megan's wedding was featured in this months edition of Wed Magazine I thought it an appropriate time to blog about it!
The hen do was spent in Bath, with a mix of Cornish friends and Uni friends it may not have worked but we all clicked right away and it was THE most incredible long weekend! I really really wish I could post the video... but it was a Hen do and that means all sorts of inflatables that aren't right for this blog.
I felt so so lucky to do Megan's makeup for her wedding day. She trusts me with her face completely and never knows what she wants or tries to explain a look because she has full faith in me - which I love!
I gave her a subtle contour, a winged liner with a classic champagne shadow over her lid. Lipstick was Elizabeth Arden "Red Door Crush" which is lovely as a bridal lipstick, it gives a good amount of colour but still feels hydrating on the lips.
We arrived at Tremeneer Sculpure Gardens where three Tipi's were set up with long rustic tables laid out inside, a chocolate fountain, drinks, fairy lights and a dance floor. We then made our way up through the gardens (this was a workout in the boiling sun!) and surrounded a little hut decorated in flowers ready to see the couple make their vows. I can't really descibe it. It was magical. Megan and Nick were MADE for each other and seeing his reaction to Meg walking down the aisle was so heartwarming. In fact this moment carried on all day, he adores her - it's like watching the best soppy love film.
After the ceremony we went on to have an evening of eating, drinking, and dancing to all our favourite songs from the glory days. Spice girl, Five and Blue - that girl KNOWS how to make a playlist. I also want to mention that although I caught the bouquet , I didn't realise that there was a child desperate to catch it right behind me... I feel pretty bad now that I stole her thunder (see below pic).
Megan and Nick, AKA The Pitts are currently honeymooning around all sorts of amazing places. If your thinking of incorporating your honeymoon with traveling and want some inspiration follow their Instagram for daily picture here. I wish them all the happiness in the world forever and ever!
